How do I get started with Concepto?

Sign up using Google or GitHub OAuth, then upload your syllabus (text, PDF, or images). Concepto will automatically parse it and create an interactive concept tree. You can then generate notes for any concept with just one click.

What formats can I upload for my syllabus?

You can upload your syllabus as plain text, PDF files, or images (JPG, PNG). Our AI will extract and structure the content automatically.

Do I get free credits?

Yes! The Basic plan (free) includes 20 credits per month that reset on your billing date. Perfect for trying out the platform and light usage.

How does the credit system work?

Credits are only used for AI note generation - 1 credit per concept note. Practice questions and Question Paper generation are completely free and don't consume any credits. Credits don't expire and accumulate over time - unused credits carry forward to future months.

What are the subscription plans?

We offer 3 subscription plans with monthly credits for note generation:

• Basic (Free): 20 credits/month for notes, basic features including concept tree, chat, practice questions (unlimited), and DOCX export
• Premium (₹449/month): 200 credits/month for notes, adds Teacher Mode, advanced practice questions (10m, application, case studies), Question Paper Generator (unlimited), PDF export, hard difficulty, and version history
• Pro (₹699/month): 500 credits/month for notes, includes everything in Premium plus coding questions, bulk QP generation, and advanced QP editing

Credits accumulate and don't expire - unused credits carry forward to future months.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime. You'll retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period. After cancellation, you'll be moved to the Basic (free) plan. Your accumulated credits remain in your account.

Do credits expire?

No, credits never expire. They accumulate over time, so unused credits from previous months carry forward. You can use them whenever you need to generate notes.

What is the Concept Tree?

The Concept Tree is an interactive visual representation of your syllabus, organized hierarchically into subjects, units, topics, and concepts. You can navigate through it and generate notes for any concept with one click.

What are note presets?

Note presets are different styles of notes tailored to your study needs:

• Exam Ready: Concise, exam-focused notes with key points and typical exam questions
• Deep Understanding: Comprehensive notes with detailed explanations, intuition, and real-world examples
• Quick Revision: Ultra-condensed notes for rapid review with key facts and one-liners
• Question Oriented: Notes structured as Q&A with short and long answer questions
• Teacher Mode (Premium/Pro): Notes from an educator's perspective with teaching methodologies and pedagogical insights

What is Practice Mode?

Practice Mode generates custom practice questions for any concept, completely free with no credit cost. Available question types:

• All Plans: MCQ, True/False, Short Answer (2-3m), Long Answer (5-7m)
• Premium/Pro: 10-mark questions, Application-based, Case Studies, Hard difficulty
• Pro Only: Coding problems with test cases and solutions

Generate up to 20 questions per set with detailed answers. Practice generation is unlimited and doesn't consume any credits.

What is the Question Paper Generator?

Available on Premium and Pro plans, completely free with no credit cost. Create complete question papers with custom blueprints, unit weightage distribution, section-wise marks allocation, and professional formatting. Pro users can add coding questions and bulk generate papers. Generate unlimited question papers without consuming credits.

Can I edit the generated notes?

Yes! All notes are fully editable using our rich text editor. You can add, modify, or remove content. Changes are automatically saved with a 2-second debounce.

Can I regenerate notes?

Yes (Premium/Pro only). You can regenerate notes with a different preset or custom instructions. Regenerating costs 1 credit and creates a new version. Version history lets you restore previous versions.

Can I export my notes?

Yes! Export to DOCX (all plans) or PDF (Premium/Pro) with preserved formatting, including code blocks, lists, and styling. Perfect for offline study or printing.

What is Focus Mode?

Focus Mode provides a distraction-free reading experience with a clean interface. Available on all plans, but version history within Focus Mode requires Premium/Pro.

What is the AI Chat feature?

The AI Chat allows you to ask questions about your concepts and get instant answers. You can save important conversations for later reference. Chat doesn't consume credits.

Can I edit my syllabus after uploading?

Yes! You can edit subject titles, add/remove topics and concepts, and reorganize your concept tree at any time without using credits.

Which AI model does Concepto use?

Concepto uses Google Gemini 2.0 Flash for syllabus processing, note generation, practice questions, and question paper generation. This ensures high-quality, contextually accurate content.

Is my data secure?

Yes! We use MongoDB with industry-standard encryption for data storage. Session data is encrypted and stored in secure HTTP-only cookies. Your syllabus and notes are private to your account.

How accurate are the AI-generated notes?

While our AI generates high-quality notes, they should be used as study aids, not as the sole source of information. We recommend verifying important information with your course materials and instructors.

Can I use Concepto on mobile?

Yes! Concepto is fully responsive and works on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. The interface adapts to your screen size for optimal usability.
